How it works

From sign-up to first serve in four steps

No spreadsheets, no whiteboard brackets, no separate scoreboard laptop.

  1. 1

    Create the tournament

Pick the sport, singles or doubles, best-of, and how many arenas you’re running.

  2. 2

    Add players, generate fixtures

Enter entrants or pairs and GameOn builds the bracket and spreads it across your arenas.

  3. 3

    Score rally by rally

Umpires tap +1 on a phone. Serve, set wins and the final result all follow automatically.

  4. 4

    Put it on screen

Share the public link, drop overlay URLs into OBS, and invite collaborators to help score.

Live scoring

Simple enough to score one-handed

The console is two big buttons and a scoreboard. Everything a badminton umpire actually needs is one tap away, on the same phone they’re already holding.

  • +1 per rally — serve passes to the rally winner automatically.
  • Undo any point when a call gets reversed.
  • End set early when time runs out; the leading side takes it.
  • Rally-by-rally timeline recorded for every game.

Rally by rally

  • #33Emma Hartley18–15

  • #31Daniel Novak16–15

One tap per rally. Serve, set wins and the match result follow automatically — and every point is undoable.

Broadcast overlays

Graphics your stream deserves

Every arena gets its own overlay URL. Paste it into an OBS browser source — the page is fully transparent, so only the graphics land on your feed.

  • Lower-third scoreboard while a match is live, full-screen result when it ends.
  • Idle rotation — tournament board, latest result, full scorecard, or your own sponsor image.
  • Trophy screens — champion, their journey, fixture path and profile.
  • Four themes and a “show now” button to push any screen instantly.

Fixtures & arenas

The draw builds itself

Add your entrants and GameOn generates the bracket, numbers the matches and spreads them over every court you have running. Winners advance the moment a match ends.

  • Singles or doubles — pairs are entered as one entry.
  • Multi-arena scheduling so courts never sit idle.
  • Late entries can still be slotted into the draw.
  • Best-of 1, 3 or 5, set per tournament.

Public pages

One link the whole hall can follow

Every tournament gets a public home — overview, fixture, scorecards and players. Nobody needs an account to watch, and nothing needs refreshing.

  • Set-by-set scorecards with points, margins and match winners.
  • Player pages — matches won, sets, points for and against.
  • Stream embeds — paste an arena’s stream URL and it plays on the match page.
  • Live updates pushed to every open page as points are scored.

Questions

Before you start

Do spectators need an account?

No. Tournament pages, fixtures, scorecards and player lists are public. You only sign in to host or score.

How do the overlays work with OBS?

Add a browser source pointing at your arena’s overlay URL. The overlay page renders with a transparent background, so only the scoreboard and full-screen graphics appear over your camera feed.

Can several people score at once?

Yes. Add collaborators to a tournament with can edit and they can run matches alongside you; can view gives read-only access from their dashboard.

Which sports are supported?

Badminton is enabled today — games to 21 (or 15 / 30), best-of 1/3/5, singles and doubles. Tennis and table tennis sit in the same sport registry, ready to switch on.

What do I need to install?

Nothing. GameOn runs in the browser — phones for scoring, a laptop for the control room.

Your next tournament could be on air

Set it up in a minute, score it from your pocket, and let everyone else watch the rallies.
